The PADI Night Diver specialty teaches you to plan and enjoy night dives safely: entering and exiting in the dark, using a primary and backup torch, communicating with light signals, navigating by natural references, and staying together as a team. Over three night dives on Marsa Alam's calm reefs you meet the creatures that only appear after dark — hunting lionfish and moray eels, sleeping parrotfish in their mucus cocoons, octopus, Spanish dancers and bioluminescent plankton. Prerequisite: (Junior) Open Water Diver.

Diving with us includes medical care from licensed physicians — before your dive, on the day, and after your trip has ended. If anything comes up once you are back at your hotel, you are still ours to look after: call us and we arrange the doctor, at no extra cost.

A dive medical fitness check before you get in the water is entirely up to you. Some divers simply like the reassurance — say the word and we arrange it with a licensed physician at no extra cost, whenever suits you. And if the physician advises against diving, we refund your booking in full.

How much does this trip cost?

What is included in the price?
PADI instructor & materials; All dive equipment + dive torch; Night training dives.
What is the minimum age?
Divers must be at least 12 years old.
Do I need a diving certification?
No — this is a certification course, and no previous experience is required for entry-level courses. A PADI instructor guides you through every step.
Is hotel pickup included?
Yes — free transfer to and from all hotels within Hurghada. Hotels in Makadi Bay, Sahl Hasheesh and El Gouna have a small transfer surcharge.
What is the cancellation policy?
Free cancellation up to 48 hours before your trip date.
How many days does this course take?
2 days. Sessions run in the morning and you are free every afternoon, so the course fits comfortably inside a normal holiday week.
When is the best time to dive in Marsa Alam?
All year round — the Red Sea has no closed season. Water runs from about 22°C in February to 30°C in August, and March–May and September–November bring the most comfortable mix of warm water, light wind and good visibility. Winter diving is excellent too; you simply want a thicker wetsuit.
Are there any extra costs?
Everything in the price is listed on this page, and so is everything that is not. Payable locally: PADI certification card fee (€80); Marine park fee (paid locally). When you compare with another centre, check whether their price includes the certification — many quote the course alone and add the manual and certification separately.
