One of the most famous and accessible sites in Marsa Alam: a wide, calm, sandy bay with lush seagrass beds that offer the rare chance to encounter dugongs (sea cows) and green sea turtles grazing in the shallows. Depths run a gentle 5 to 18 metres with easy shore access and healthy coral along both sides of the bay. Guitarfish rest half-buried in the sand and macro life abounds, making it a paradise for snorkelers, beginner divers, photographers and families.
