Scuba Diving in Hurghada — what does it cost?
The 15 options on this page run from €39 to €486 per person. Every price is the final price — boat, guide, equipment and return hotel transfer are already included, and there is nothing further to pay at the marina. Cancellation is free up to 48 hours before you go.
Do I need a diving certification?
For guided dives, yes — a valid certification is required. If you do not have one, an introductory dive takes you to 12 metres under the direct supervision of a PADI professional, which is what an introductory dive allows worldwide. Going deeper, or diving with just a buddy, needs a certification such as PADI Open Water Diver.
When is the best time of year to come to Hurghada?
All year round — the Red Sea has no closed season. Water runs from about 22°C in February to 30°C in August, and March–May and September–November bring the most comfortable mix of warm water, light wind and good visibility. Winter is excellent too; you simply want a thicker wetsuit.
Is hotel pickup included?
Yes, for hotels inside the Hurghada area, in both directions. Trips leave your hotel between 6:00 and 9:00 in the morning and the exact time is confirmed the evening before. If your hotel is well outside town, tell us before booking and we will confirm whether it is reachable.
