The one-day course that instantly makes you a better diver: two dives focused entirely on trim, weighting and breath control, so you glide over the reef using less air and never touch the coral.
Watch any truly experienced diver underwater and one thing stands out: stillness. No hand-sculling, no fin-kicking to hold position, no sudden ups and downs — just a diver hanging motionless in the water as if gravity had been switched off. That stillness is a learnable skill, and Peak Performance Buoyancy teaches it in a single focused day.
The course starts with proper weighting — most divers carry more lead than they need, and shedding the excess transforms everything else. Over two dedicated reef dives your instructor then works through the full toolkit: distributing weight for horizontal trim, using your lungs as a precision instrument for small depth changes, hovering motionless in mid-water and in awkward positions, and streamlining your equipment so nothing dangles or drags. Games and challenges — hovering upside down, swimming through hoops, approaching coral close enough to observe without ever touching — make the practice genuinely fun.
The payoff is immediate and threefold: your air lasts noticeably longer because you stop fighting the water; the reef stays safe because you stop bumping it; and photographs improve because you can finally hold a position. The minimum age is 10 and any entry-level certification qualifies. Equipment, PADI materials, the certification fee, lunch on board and Hurghada transfers are all included. Divers rate this little course as one of the best value-for-money days in all of scuba.
