The course most divers call their favourite: scenario-based training in self-rescue, spotting and managing diver stress, and helping others in trouble — capped by a full emergency simulation. Ask experienced divers which course changed them most and the answer is almost always Rescue. Over three to four days it rewires how you dive — from following a guide to genuinely watching the water, your buddy and yourself. Training is built on scenarios: recognising stress before it becomes panic, managing a panicked diver at the surface, bringing an unresponsive diver up from depth, towing, in-water rescue breaths, and organising a search when someone is missing — ending in a full emergency simulation. Prerequisites: PADI Adventure Diver or higher with the navigation dive completed, minimum age 12, and current Emergency First Response (primary & secondary care) within 24 months — the EFR course can be added just before Rescue if needed.

Dive Safe Package — medical care is on us

Diving with us includes medical care from licensed physicians — before your dive, on the day, and after your trip has ended. If anything comes up once you are back at your hotel, you are still ours to look after: call us and we arrange the doctor, at no extra cost.

A dive medical fitness check before you get in the water is entirely up to you. Some divers simply like the reassurance — say the word and we arrange it with a licensed physician at no extra cost, whenever suits you. And if the physician advises against diving, we refund your booking in full.

PADI Rescue Diver Course — questions divers ask

How much does this trip cost?
It costs €316 per person.
What is included in the price?
PADI instructor & materials; All dive equipment; Rescue scenarios & final simulation.
What is the minimum age?
Divers must be at least 12 years old.
Do I need a diving certification?
No — this is a certification course, and no previous experience is required for entry-level courses. A PADI instructor guides you through every step.
Is hotel pickup included?
Yes — free transfer to and from all hotels within Hurghada. Hotels in Makadi Bay, Sahl Hasheesh and El Gouna have a small transfer surcharge.
What is the cancellation policy?
Free cancellation up to 48 hours before your trip date.
How many days does this course take?
4 days. Sessions run in the morning and you are free every afternoon, so the course fits comfortably inside a normal holiday week.
When is the best time to dive in Marsa Alam?
All year round — the Red Sea has no closed season. Water runs from about 22°C in February to 30°C in August, and March–May and September–November bring the most comfortable mix of warm water, light wind and good visibility. Winter diving is excellent too; you simply want a thicker wetsuit.
Are there any extra costs?
Everything in the price is listed on this page, and so is everything that is not. Payable locally: EFR (first-aid) course, if not already held; PADI certification card fee (€80); Marine park fee (paid locally). When you compare with another centre, check whether their price includes the certification — many quote the course alone and add the manual and certification separately.
