Marsa Abu Dabbab is one of the most famous and accessible sites in Marsa Alam — a wide, calm, sandy bay known for the rare chance to encounter dugongs (sea cows) and green sea turtles grazing over its lush seagrass beds. Depths run a gentle 5–18 metres with easy shore entry, healthy coral along the sides of the bay, and surprises around every corner: sleepy turtles resting on the sand, guitar sharks (guitarfish) hiding beneath it, and abundant macro life. A paradise for snorkellers, beginner divers, underwater photographers and families.
