Sha'ab Samadai — better known as Dolphin House — is a renowned marine sanctuary in the Red Sea, a horseshoe-shaped reef south of Marsa Alam that shelters a resident pod of spinner dolphins. Because the zone is protected and boat access is limited, encounters are respectful and reliable, and most guests snorkel near wild dolphins within the first hour. Beyond the dolphins, the lagoon's shallow, light-filled coral gardens are perfect for snorkellers of all ages and for non-divers travelling with a diving group. Diving with us includes medical care from licensed physicians — before your dive, on the day, and after your trip has ended. If anything comes up once you are back at your hotel, you are still ours to look after: call us and we arrange the doctor, at no extra cost.

A dive medical fitness check before you get in the water is entirely up to you. Some divers simply like the reassurance — say the word and we arrange it with a licensed physician at no extra cost, whenever suits you. And if the physician advises against diving, we refund your booking in full.

What is the minimum age?
Divers must be at least 6 years old.
Do I need a diving certification?
For guided dives a valid certification is required; snorkeling and introductory experiences need none. Contact us if you are unsure.
Is hotel pickup included?
Yes — free transfer to and from all hotels within Hurghada. Hotels in Makadi Bay, Sahl Hasheesh and El Gouna have a small transfer surcharge.
What is the cancellation policy?
Free cancellation up to 48 hours before your trip date.
How deep can I dive without a certification?
Up to 12 metres, and only under the direct supervision of a PADI professional — that is what an introductory dive allows worldwide. Going deeper, or diving with just a buddy, requires a certification such as the PADI Open Water Diver course.
When is the best time to dive in Marsa Alam?
All year round — the Red Sea has no closed season. Water runs from about 22°C in February to 30°C in August, and March–May and September–November bring the most comfortable mix of warm water, light wind and good visibility. Winter diving is excellent too; you simply want a thicker wetsuit.
Are there any extra costs?
Everything in the price is listed on this page, and so is everything that is not. Payable locally: Snorkeling equipment (if needed); Marine park fee (paid locally). When you compare with another centre, check what their price leaves out — transfers, lunch on board, guiding and taxes are often quoted separately, so a lower headline price is not always the lower one you pay.
