One to two days of hands-on CPR and first-aid training that anyone can take — diver or not, no prerequisites. Covers primary and secondary care for land and water emergencies, and is the medical prerequisite for the Rescue Diver course.
Emergency First Response is built for everyone — divers, partners, parents, travellers — with no prerequisites and no diving involved. Across one to two focused days you learn Primary Care (life-threatening emergencies: scene assessment, CPR, rescue breathing, choking, serious bleeding, shock and spinal-injury awareness) and Secondary Care (injury and illness assessment, bandaging and splinting while help is on the way). Everything is practised physically on mannequins and with partners. For divers there's a practical bonus: a current EFR certificate (within 24 months) is the required medical prerequisite for the PADI Rescue Diver course, so many students take EFR and Rescue back-to-back.
