You learn the PADI 'SEA' method — Shooting, Examining and Adjusting — plus camera settings for the underwater world, how light and colour behave at depth, composition, and how to approach marine life closely without stressing it. Marsa Alam's clear water, healthy corals and reliable turtle and dugong sightings make it a superb place to practise. Prerequisite: (Junior) Open Water Diver; a compatible underwater camera is recommended (bring your own or ask about rental).
