Just a short boat ride from the Marsa Alam marina, Sha'ab Marsa Alam is a beautifully preserved reef system known for colourful coral gardens, dramatic underwater landscapes and abundant marine life. A mix of shallow plateaus (from around 5 metres) and deeper drop-offs (past 30 metres) with crystal-clear 20–30 metre visibility gives a versatile profile suitable for everyone from beginners to seasoned divers — with the possibility of encountering larger species along the walls. Generally calm, occasionally touched by mild swells.
