PADI Bubblemaker — Kids Diving Experience

Bubblemaker is PADI's official scuba experience for children — a gentle, carefully supervised first breath underwater designed specifically for young bodies and short attention spans. Children must be at least 8 years old; no swimming certificate or previous experience is needed, just basic comfort in the water and a sense of adventure.

The session lasts about an hour. A PADI instructor fits your child with genuine kid-sized scuba equipment — small tanks, small jackets, small masks — and then leads a fun, game-like introduction to breathing underwater in calm, shallow, pool-like conditions. Depth is strictly limited to a maximum of 2 metres at all times, and the instructor stays within arm's reach of each child throughout. The emphasis is entirely on fun: blowing bubbles, meeting little reef fish, underwater high-fives and photos to make siblings jealous.

The experience runs as part of a family boat day, so parents relax on deck, snorkel or dive while the little ones have their adventure — and everyone shares the on-board lunch afterwards. One child costs €117; two children together pay a reduced €194 total. Many kids who try Bubblemaker come back at age 10 for the junior entry-level certification courses, and the confidence they gain here makes that step remarkably easy.
