Sheltered from the wind behind the reef — suits most levels; tidal current makes drift diving the natural choice
A crescent-shaped reef — hence the name — enclosing a sloping coral garden and two superb pinnacles that rise from 14-17 metres, both smothered in soft corals. The tide funnelling through the area usually calls for a drift dive, keeping the main wall in sight for navigation. In the southeast corner, at 14 metres, an "anemone city" houses hundreds of anemonefish guarding their young.
