Erg Abu Ramada (Camel Reef)

Depth Range
10–60m
Boat Ride
80 min
Difficulty
hard
Often exposed to current — experience required for the deeper terraces
Also known locally as Camel Reef: a big pinnacle formation with three peaks on a long plateau, terracing down well past recreational limits. Strong current keeps the site in pristine condition — soft corals and anthias cover the erg, with glassfish sheltering in caverns from resident scorpionfish and lionfish.
