More About This Trip

The classic Marsa Alam diving day: two guided dives at two different reef sites chosen for the day's conditions, with a relaxed break between. Blue Sea's guides know every plateau, drop-off and pinnacle along the coast, from sheltered training bays to the offshore reefs where turtles, dugongs and pelagics appear. Weights, weight belt and 12-litre air tanks are included; full equipment can be rented separately. Open to all certified divers from entry level upward, with dive depths matched to your qualification.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does this trip cost?
It costs $93 per person.
What is included in the price?
Dive guide; Two guided dives; Weights, weight belt & 12L air tanks.
What is the minimum age?
Divers must be at least 12 years old.
Do I need a diving certification?
For guided dives a valid certification is required; snorkeling and introductory experiences need none. Contact us if you are unsure.
Is hotel pickup included?
Yes — free transfer to and from all hotels within Hurghada. Hotels in Makadi Bay, Sahl Hasheesh and El Gouna have a small transfer surcharge.
What is the cancellation policy?
Free cancellation up to 48 hours before your trip date.
How deep can I dive without a certification?
Up to 12 metres, and only under the direct supervision of a PADI professional — that is what an introductory dive allows worldwide. Going deeper, or diving with just a buddy, requires a certification such as the PADI Open Water Diver course.
When is the best time to dive in Marsa Alam?
All year round — the Red Sea has no closed season. Water runs from about 22°C in February to 30°C in August, and March–May and September–November bring the most comfortable mix of warm water, light wind and good visibility. Winter diving is excellent too; you simply want a thicker wetsuit.
