The course most divers call their favourite: scenario-based training in self-rescue, spotting and managing diver stress, and helping others in trouble — capped by a full emergency simulation. Challenging, rewarding, and the turning point where you become a genuinely confident diver. The last step before the professional Divemaster level.
Ask experienced divers which course changed them most and the answer is almost always Rescue. Over three to four days it rewires how you dive — from following a guide to genuinely watching the water, your buddy and yourself. Training is built on scenarios: recognising stress before it becomes panic, managing a panicked diver at the surface, bringing an unresponsive diver up from depth, towing, in-water rescue breaths, and organising a search when someone is missing — ending in a full emergency simulation. Prerequisites: PADI Adventure Diver or higher with the navigation dive completed, minimum age 12, and current Emergency First Response (primary & secondary care) within 24 months — the EFR course can be added just before Rescue if needed.
